Needed a break on a long trip, and this was just the right place at the right time. Loved the big open "atrium" type feeling as you walked in. Hotel is just off the road enough to not have a lot of road noise.||The hotel is either a) older and needs updating or b) newer and has been worn out heavily in its lifespan. Carpets are heavily worn, and the paint in the room was really in need of updating. The bed was VERY comfortable.||Breakfast in the morning was average.... nothing special. If it's included in your package great, go for it.... but IMO, don't pay extra for it.||Overall, was a good stay, with a good night of sleep, but the establishment needs updating and renovation.

My family and I stayed here one night. I’d give this a much lower score if it wasn’t for the fantastic breakfast ladies. They were absolutely amazing. Some of the front desk staff was nice, but the woman who checked me in seemed annoyed and that I was an inconvenience. When I went into the room, I noticed a cockroach go under the bed, and then I went into the bathroom and saw one in the shower, which I took a picture of and immediately went to the front desk. She seemed extremely annoyed and asked me what I wanted. I asked for a new room. She gave me one. That room was in okay condition, but had definitely seen better days. The pool gate was locked when we tried to get in, so we had to find someone to unlock it. I will say that Matthew at the front desk tried to be very helpful. Overall, I wouldn’t come back here.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn last night. The room was clean, but it felt outdated, and much of the furniture was noticeably worn and banged up. When we asked for extra towels, we were told we would need to come downstairs to get them. We also ordered a couple of drinks at the bar. The employee was very friendly, but she explained that she was not actually a bartender, so I had to walk her through how to make one of the drinks. The pool was a decent size, but there was very little outdoor furniture, and dirty towels were left lying around the area. Be sure to ask for a breakfast voucher because breakfast is not complimentary. The only sign showing the $15.99-per-person price was tucked behind a trash can, so we did not see it. I explained to the front desk that I had not realized breakfast cost extra and that I would now need to pay for two children. Liz handed me a voucher, but she was not very personable, made no eye contact, and did not offer any kind of friendly response. There was also a party at the hotel that evening. We were staying on the second floor, and the bass was still extremely loud at 11:00 p.m. Overall, the hotel was clean, but the dated condition, lack of attention around the pool, unexpected breakfast cost, noise, and inconsistent customer service made the stay disappointing.

Holiday Inn has a gorgeous lobby, but room 503, and I am assuming the other rooms, are in bad need of an upgrade. There were stains on the ceiling and drapes. The blackout drapes were torn badly. The furniture had numerous scratches on every piece. The chair and ottoman had stains. I wouldn't sit in it. The bedding was clean or I wouldn't have stayed after seeing the shape of the room. They do not offer free breakfast, you can purchase meals, but they didn't seem to be getting much business in that area. It's sad to see such a nice place allowed to run down like this. Shame on you Holiday Inn.

My mother and I was going on a cruise leaving out of Miami for her birthday and Mother's Day so my sister went online to booked us a room in Ocala because we were going to make a stop in Ocala, Florida for two nights before the cruise. The hotel she booked for us looks nice when we walk into the front part of the lobby where the reception desk at it is bright and the other part of the lobby was dark. The breakfast was nice. We went into the room it was dark and the carpet was dirty at night there was a sewage smell in the hallway after the last day of being there I kill a bed bug, so I will not advise anyone to go there. If I could give it a zero I would. The hotel needs to be renovated but they have another hotel right beside them that's much brighter and look cleaner that hotel looks more newer then the one we stayed in. Don't stay in building 3600

Old, dated, the hotel is very dark and doesn’t have much lighting. but, 5 stars because: The entire hotel is very clean, and the room is extremely clean. The front desk service is very attentive. The breakfast is excellent with a lot of variety. Overall, the service is very good and friendly.

Let’s just talk about the restaurant!!! Ana Maria produced one of the highest quality and delicious food our travel group has ever enjoyed. A PERFECT 10. I just wanted to share this experience as it was both stellar and 100% AMAZING. From Taco Salads to build your own burgers. Nothing less than perfection. Thank you Efrin and Anna. Superior service and quality.

The hotel looks grand and impressive when you first walk, in, you think, ok for this price the breakfast will be great and the rooms even better! Wrong. Its getting to the, we're so Fancy we don't serve free breakfast, fancy. No breakfast. What?? For that room price?? Pu-leaaseeeee!! Well, you think, at least the rooms will be pretty nice.... Nope. The whole place is so dark and dingy, the lobby, the rooms, at least the smaller rooms, barely have lights anywhere. The decor just doesn't make sense and doesn't help to make anything brighter or friendlier. The rooms have such bad lighting, the showers barely get hot(you have to turn it on and wait 10-15 min for it to get warm at all) the blow dryer on the wall full was orange dust. I was afraid to touch it for fear or contracting a disease. The shower head and faucet are very outdated and don't work well for such a fancy looking lobby hotel I still expect much more from the room. The rooms on the back side of the hotel in lower levels are almost impossible to sleep in because they have these lights outside all the windows that make your room brighter at night than it gets during the day WITH the lights inside the room on! The blackout curtains just don't work. Location isn't bad there's some nicer stores and food spots close by but besides that ... Just no, go stay someplace that's not gonna pretent o be so fancy pants they can't even serve breakfast.
